One of the main reasons we visited SF...Muir Woods!
One of my mom's dreams as a young adult was to see the Redwoods.
I remember visiting Muir Woods for the first time as a child and being mesmerized by these glorious trees.
I am lucky enough to see them yet again, and reminisce about the days when I traveled with my family.
I am now older, but I'm nothing but a blink in the eyes of these magnificent giants.
Um, excuse me, we did not see any of these mythical banana slugs. FAIL.
We also failed to find any four leafed clovers. FAIL.
These make me want to say "Heehee!".
This trip was to celebrate our 5th anniversary together...
(and no Leah, we did not get married here, though it's an AWESOME idea!)
(this picture reminds me of an excerpt from The Prophet, by Khalil Gibran)
Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together, yet not too near together.
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress
grow not in each other's shadow.
Another pic for size reference.
Gary also got to do some mountain driving.

One of my favorites.
Approaching the Golden Gate Bridge.
